This permanently deletes your saved codes, style templates, and dynamic links. Any printed or shared dynamic QR codes (open-qr.link) will stop working for good. This cannot be undone.
Any QR code you already printed with this domain will stop working, and reprinting will not help: a link's address is fixed when the link is created, so it keeps pointing at this domain. The links themselves are not lost, and their destinations and scan counts stay in My codes. Custom endings on this domain cannot be restored at all, even if you add the domain back.
Put a domain you own on your dynamic QR codes, so a printed code reads go.yourdomain.com/aB3xY9 instead of open-qr.link/aB3xY9.
- Add your domain. Enter a domain you control, usually a subdomain like
go.yourdomain.com. One domain per account. - Update your DNS. We show you the exact records to add at whoever manages your domain, plus any existing records you need to remove first. A leftover record is the most common reason setup stalls.
- Wait for the certificate. Once your records are live we issue a security certificate for the domain. This usually takes a few minutes, but DNS changes can take up to a day to reach us. Press Check status to see where it is.
- Create codes on it. When the domain goes Live, every new dynamic link you make uses it automatically, and you can choose your own ending, like
go.yourdomain.com/menu.
Nothing you have already printed changes. A link's address is fixed when the link is created, so codes made before your domain went live keep working at open-qr.link, exactly as they are.
If you remove the domain: you keep your links. Their destinations, settings, and scan counts all stay in My codes. What breaks is anything already printed on that domain, because those codes point at an address that no longer answers.
