Design Studio

On the home page, choose Dynamic code or Static code, then a type: Website, File, Page, or Contact card for dynamic; URL, Text, Email, SMS, Phone, Wi-Fi, vCard, Event, Location, Crypto, Google review, Payment, Social, WhatsApp, or Telegram for static. Fill in the fields, then style it: start from a one-click template, or dial in pattern and module shape, colors and gradients, a center logo or one of 150+ built-in icons, a decorative canvas, error-correction strength, and a "Scan me" frame. The Auto design section can plan the whole look from one sentence with Reticle AI.

Designing is free, with no account required. In the Get your code step, download as PNG, SVG, JPEG, or PDF at any size, grab a print pack (a ZIP with a print-ready PDF, EPS, SVG, and a 300 DPI proof, as a bare code or a ready to print card), or copy a share link, all free and available signed out. Every code is designed entirely in your browser; nothing you enter here is uploaded. Signing in (with Google, or an email and password, also free) lets you save a style template or a static code to your account, or create a dynamic code.

Have a whole list to turn into codes? Hit Batch CSV in the Get your code step to turn a CSV into a ZIP of codes (one per row) using your current style, including any "Scan me" frame (framed codes export taller than they are wide, so switch to no frame first if you need uniform square images).

Style templates (signed-in): save your current colors, gradient, shape, and logo as a named style template, then apply it to any new code with one click. Templates sync across every device and include your logo.

Dynamic codes (signed-in): choose Dynamic code and the Website type to encode a short open-qr.link address instead of a URL. You can change where it points any time, even after the code is printed, and see how often it's scanned. The Contact card type turns your details into a hosted contact page with a save-contact button, editable any time without reprinting. On a Pro account, the File type serves a PDF or an image (PNG, JPEG, GIF, or WebP, up to 10 MB) instead of a destination, and the Page type serves a page you build from blocks; either is replaceable later without reprinting. A file is stored on our servers, and anyone who scans the code can download it, so set a password on the link if it isn't meant to be public. Create dynamic codes, and manage destinations, contact details, and scan counts, under My codes. Dynamic codes are automatically emailed on their first scan and with a weekly scan summary after that; use the bell button to turn that off for any code. Free plan: 3 dynamic codes.

Pages (Pro): a page is a hosted mobile page for one QR code, built from blocks (buttons, text, images, a contact card, social links, dividers) instead of one destination. Pick a theme, a font, and a corner radius, or start from a ready-made template and adjust it. Pages are part of Reticle Pro, and you build and edit one at /pages, or from a dynamic code's Page type, any time without reprinting.

Brand kits

A brand kit (Pro), on the Brand kits page, saves your look once so every new code can wear it in one click: four colors (Primary for the code's modules, Secondary for the ring or frame, Background for the code's background, and Accent for the eyes, the three corner squares), up to three logos with one set as the default center mark, and the code's pattern, corner (eye) shape, body, and ring.

Kits vs styles: a kit is your brand. A style (template) is one finished look built on it, like Menu, Loyalty card, or Window sticker. Styles are saved snapshots, so editing a kit never changes a style you already printed.

Make your first kit: on the Brand kits page, hit New kit, pick your four colors, add logos, choose your pattern, corner, body and ring, then Save kit.

Turn it into styles: open a kit and hit Styles, then New style in Studio to open the Design Studio with the kit already applied. Tweak anything (frame, caption, logo), then Save style: it's tagged to the kit automatically. Add existing template tags an older template to the kit too.

Use it every day: in the Studio's Templates section, choose the kit in the Brand kit dropdown, then pick a style, done. The This kit / All toggle beside the styles heading widens the list without dropping the kit, and choosing None in the dropdown clears it. Applying a kit is one step, so Cmd or Ctrl+Z undoes it just as easily. Starting from a design you like instead? Save as new kit captures its colors and shapes as a brand new kit.

Good to know: up to 8 kits, 3 logos each. Logos get the same size handling as everywhere else in Reticle: an oversized file is resized automatically, or you'll be asked to try a smaller one. Brand kits are a Pro feature. Deleting a kit keeps its templates; they just become untagged, not deleted.

QR Code Scanner

The QR code scanner reads a code from an image: drop a file, click to choose one, or paste a screenshot (Ctrl/Cmd+V) anywhere on the page, or from your device's live camera, which decodes automatically the moment a code is readable. It recognizes URLs, Wi-Fi networks, contacts (vCard), calendar events, email, SMS, phone numbers, map locations, and crypto payment addresses, not just plain text. Web addresses also get a destination check: the final address after redirects, a page preview, and Google Safe Browsing reputation. Images and camera frames are never uploaded. Decoded contents stay on your device with one exception: when a code contains a web address, only that address is sent to Reticle to check the destination, and it is never stored.

Reticle keeps a history of your last 10 decoded scans on this device; hit Recent to browse and reopen them. Want to reuse or restyle it? Hit Open in Studio to load the decoded content into the Studio, ready to restyle or make dynamic.
