QR Code Generator

Pick a content type — URL, plain text, email, SMS, phone number, Wi-Fi network, calendar event, a full vCard contact, a map location, or a crypto payment address — then fill in the fields. Style it in Appearance: start from a one-click preset, or customize color/gradient, module and corner shape, background (including transparent), a center logo, error-correction strength, and a "Scan me" frame. The scanability tag under the preview warns you if a code is getting too dense to read reliably.

When it's ready, export it however you need: copy the image straight to your clipboard, share a link that restores this exact code (or use your device's native share sheet on mobile), download as PNG, SVG, or JPEG at any size, or print a clean, code-only page. Every code is generated entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded.

Have a whole list to turn into codes? Hit Batch in the toolbar to turn a CSV into a ZIP of codes — one per row — using your current style ("Scan me" frames aren't applied to batch output, so batch codes always export bare). Reticle also keeps a history of your last 10 codes on this device — hit Recent to browse and reload them — and if you already have a code, hit Scan to read it back and jump straight into editing it. Signing in with your Google account is entirely optional; it lets you save and name codes, then reload them on any device.

QR Code Scanner

The QR code scanner reads a code from an image — drop a file, click to choose one, or paste a screenshot (Ctrl/Cmd+V) anywhere on the page — or from your device's live camera, which decodes automatically the moment a code is readable. It recognizes URLs, Wi-Fi networks, contacts (vCard), calendar events, email, SMS, phone numbers, map locations, and crypto payment addresses, not just plain text. Everything happens on your device — images, camera frames, and decoded contents are never uploaded anywhere.

Reticle keeps a history of your last 10 decoded scans on this device — hit Recent to browse and reopen them. Found a code you want to reuse or restyle? Hit Edit in generator on any result to hand it off to the QR generator, prefilled with the decoded content.

Frequently asked questions

Is Reticle really free, and do I need an account?

Yes — both the generator and scanner are free with no account required. Signing in with Google is entirely optional and only unlocks saving/naming codes across devices.

Are my codes or scanned images uploaded anywhere?

No. QR codes are generated in your browser, and images/camera frames are decoded in your browser too. Nothing about their content is sent to or stored on our servers unless you explicitly sign in and save a code.

Why won't a QR code scan?

The usual culprits are blur, low contrast between the code and its background, a missing quiet zone (empty margin) around the code, damage to the corner squares, or an image where the code is simply too small. Try a sharper, closer, straight-on picture — or lower the error-correction/density if you're generating the code yourself.

Can I generate a batch of QR codes at once?

Yes — use the Batch button to upload a CSV and get back a ZIP with one styled code per row.
