Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and BlandCo, LLC, a Missouri limited liability company. Reticle is a product of BlandCo, LLC; when this page says "Reticle", "we", "us", or "our", it means BlandCo, LLC. By using reticle.cloud, open-qr.link, or a Reticle account, you agree to these terms.

1. The service

Reticle is a QR code generator and scanner. Static codes are generated entirely in your browser. With a free account you can save codes and create dynamic links: short addresses we host that redirect scanners to a destination you control, serve a contact page, or (on a paid plan) serve a file you upload. The privacy policy describes exactly what data each of those involves.

2. Your account

You are responsible for your account and for keeping its credentials secure. You must provide a working email address and be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country). We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Reticle to:

• link to, host, or distribute anything unlawful, or infringe anyone's rights;
• run phishing, malware, deceptive redirects, or any scheme that misleads the person scanning a code;
• circumvent the service's limits, probe or disrupt its infrastructure, or resell it without our agreement.

We check dynamic-link destinations against safety services and may disable any link, file, or account we reasonably believe is harmful or abusive, without notice where necessary. Because dynamic links share domains with every other customer's printed codes, we act conservatively to protect them.

4. Your content

What you put behind your codes and links stays yours. You grant BlandCo, LLC the limited license needed to operate the service: to store your saved codes, link destinations, contact details, and uploaded files, and to serve them to the people who scan your codes. You are responsible for having the rights to whatever you upload or link to, and for what your links point at.

5. Reticle Pro subscriptions

Reticle Pro is a paid subscription: $12 per month or $99 per year, in US dollars, plus any applicable tax calculated at checkout. It renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Payment is processed by Stripe; the seller of record is BlandCo, LLC. You can cancel any time from Manage billing on your account page; you keep Pro through the period you paid for, and there is no charge after cancellation takes effect. Refunds are described in the refund and cancellation policy. If we change prices, the new price applies from your next renewal and we will tell you before it does.

If a subscription lapses, your account returns to the Free plan's limits. Existing dynamic links keep resolving, but Pro capabilities (such as creating file links, editing routing rules, or per-scan recording) stop until you resubscribe.

6. Termination

You can close your account at any time from the account page, which deletes your data as the privacy policy describes. We may suspend or terminate service for breach of these terms, for abuse of the service, or where the law requires. Deleting a dynamic link, or an account that owns one, permanently stops the printed codes that point at it from resolving.

7. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. QR codes you print are physical artifacts we cannot update; test before you print.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, BlandCo, LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of $50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Missouri, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date above, and material changes will be highlighted on the site or emailed to account holders. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
