Everything a printed code should be able to do

Once a code is on a menu, a box, or a billboard, reprinting is the expensive part. Dynamic links move the decisions into your account instead.

Made in your browser

Static codes are generated entirely on your device. Nothing is uploaded unless you create a dynamic link or host a file, and we say exactly what those store.

No scan-count paywall

Free dynamic links have unlimited scans and no expiry. A code you printed keeps working; we do not hold it hostage.

Data you can erase

Free plans keep aggregate counts only. Pro per-scan records are kept about 90 days, and you can export or delete them at any time.

Two stores, one poster

An app lives in two places, but a poster only has room for one QR code. Print the App Store code and every Android scanner lands on the wrong page; print both codes and you've doubled the clutter and halved the scans. An app store QR code fixes this with one code that sorts scanners by device.

How it works

The code encodes a dynamic short link. When a phone scans it, the link checks what kind of device is asking and forwards it accordingly: iPhones and iPads to your App Store listing, Android phones to Google Play, and everything else (laptops, desktops, unknown devices) to a default destination you choose, like your website or a landing page. The sorting happens at scan time, so it works in every camera app with nothing to install.

Set it up in a minute

Sign in (free), switch the URL tab to Dynamic, and open the App Store option. Paste your App Store link, your Google Play link, and a default destination, then style and download the code. All three destinations stay editable from My codes, even after the code is printed on boxes, table tents, or a billboard.

See which platforms actually scan

Every dynamic link counts scans with a device breakdown, per-day and hour-of-day tallies, and a per-country tally, free. On Pro, per-scan records also note which destination was served, so the iOS versus Android split of your campaign is a column in a CSV export rather than a guess.

Beyond the two stores

Platform sorting is the simplest kind of routing, and it's free. If you need more (send German scanners to the German listing, route scans during launch week to a promo page), Pro's smart routing adds up to 10 ordered rules matching on country, language, device platform, or local time of day.

Frequently asked questions

How does one QR code open two different app stores?

The code encodes a short link rather than a store page. When someone scans it, the link looks at what kind of device is asking and forwards it to the right place: iPhones and iPads to your App Store page, Android phones to Google Play, and everything else to the default destination you set.

Is an app store QR code free?

Yes. Per-platform store destinations work on any dynamic link, and the free plan includes 3 dynamic links with unlimited scans and no watermark.

What happens when someone scans from a laptop or desktop?

They go to the default destination, which you choose: typically your website, a landing page for the app, or one of the two store pages. Nobody hits a dead end.

Can I change the store links after printing the code?

Yes. All three destinations (iOS, Android, and the default) stay editable from My codes at any time, even after the code is printed. A rebrand, a new listing URL, or a moved landing page never means reprinting.

Can I see how many people scanned, and on what?

Yes. Every dynamic link counts scans with a device breakdown (mobile, tablet, desktop) plus per-day, hour, and country tallies. Pro accounts additionally get per-scan records that include which destination was served, so you can see the iOS and Android split precisely.

Can I route by country, language, or time as well?

Yes, with smart routing on Pro: up to 10 ordered rules that match on country, language, device platform, or local time of day, each sending scanners to its own destination. The per-platform store destinations described here are free and need no rules.
