Everything a printed code should be able to do

Once a code is on a menu, a box, or a billboard, reprinting is the expensive part. Dynamic links move the decisions into your account instead.

Made in your browser

Static codes are generated entirely on your device. Nothing is uploaded unless you create a dynamic link or host a file, and we say exactly what those store.

No scan-count paywall

Free dynamic links have unlimited scans and no expiry. A code you printed keeps working; we do not hold it hostage.

Data you can erase

Free plans keep aggregate counts only. Pro per-scan records are kept about 90 days, and you can export or delete them at any time.

How a logo fits inside a QR code

QR codes are built to survive damage: error correction stores the data redundantly, so a code can lose part of its surface and still decode. A center logo simply uses that tolerance on purpose. When you add one, Reticle automatically raises error correction to the highest level, so the modules hidden behind your logo are recovered from the rest of the code.

Everything happens in the live preview: drop in the logo, watch the code redraw, and use Test scan to decode the finished design right on your device before anything gets printed.

Upload your own logo

In Appearance, choose the logo control and pick any image your browser can display: PNG, JPEG, SVG, WebP, or GIF. Transparent backgrounds are kept, so a round or irregular mark sits cleanly on the code. An oversized image is scaled down automatically, which keeps saved codes small without you having to resize anything first.

Or pick from 150+ built-in icons

No logo file handy? Open the icon picker and search or browse by category: arrows, food and drink, travel, social, payment, and more. Each icon is a crisp vector that stays sharp at any export size, and Reticle suggests icons that fit the content type you're building. Icons save with your codes and ride along on dynamic links.

Keep it scannable

The scanability tag under the preview warns you when a design is getting risky, and Test scan is the proof: it decodes your finished code on your own device. Print at least 2 cm (about an inch) square, keep strong contrast between code and background, and leave a quiet margin around the code. For codes that will be handled a lot, the highest error-correction level (set automatically with a logo) also buys resistance to scuffs and folds.

Works with every content type

Logos aren't just for links: add one to Wi-Fi codes, vCards, event invites, payment codes, or plain text. And if you want a code you can edit after printing, sign in and make it a dynamic link with the same styling; the free plan includes 3.

Frequently asked questions

Will a logo stop my QR code from scanning?

Not if it's sized sensibly, and Reticle handles that for you: adding a logo automatically raises error correction to the highest level, which lets the code lose the area under the logo and still decode. Use Test scan under the preview to prove the finished code reads on your own device.

What image formats can I use for the logo?

Any image your browser can display: PNG, JPEG, SVG, WebP, or GIF. Transparent backgrounds are kept, and an oversized image is scaled down automatically so saved codes stay small and fast.

Is there a watermark or a charge for adding a logo?

No. Logos, icons, colors, and every export format are free, with no watermark and no sign-up. Your logo never leaves your browser unless you sign in and save the code to your account.

Can I use an icon instead of my own logo?

Yes. Reticle includes 150+ built-in icons you can search or browse by category: arrows, food, travel, social, payment, and more. Pick one and it lands in the live preview instantly. Icons save with your codes and ride along on dynamic links.

How big should I print a QR code with a logo?

At least 2 cm (about an inch) square for close-range scanning, larger for posters. Keep strong contrast between the code and its background, leave a quiet margin around it, and always test the final printed size with a real phone before a big print run.

Does the logo work on dynamic QR codes too?

Yes. Dynamic links support the same styling as static codes, logo included. Sign in, switch the URL tab to Dynamic, and style the code the same way; the free plan includes 3 dynamic links.
