QR code link in bio: one code, up to 12 destinations

How it works

A regular dynamic QR code encodes a short link that redirects somewhere. A link page uses that exact same short link, but instead of a 302 redirect, a scan opens a page you built: a title, an optional one-line tagline, and up to 12 buttons, each with its own label and destination URL. There's no separate service to sign up for and no second link to keep in sync with whatever you're already printing. Scan the code, see the page.

Building one

Open My codes, switch to the Dynamic tab, and start a new link. The create menu offers three kinds: a regular URL, a file, and Link page. Choose Link page and give it a title, that's all the create step needs; the tagline, theme, accent color, and button list all come next in the page editor, which opens right after the link is created.

In the editor, add a button at a time: a label (what people see) and a URL (where it goes). Drag to reorder, remove one with a click, and save whenever the page looks right. There's no limit on how often you come back to it, add a button for a new promotion, retire an old one, swap the order, all from the same editor, all live the moment you save.

Making it look like yours

Three settings live outside the button list. Theme is light, dark, or auto, which follows whatever mode the visitor's own device is in. Accent is a single color applied to the buttons, so the page can match your brand instead of looking like a generic template. And if your account has a custom domain attached, a new link page can use it, so the page itself opens at go.yourdomain.com/slug instead of a Reticle-branded address.

Everything else a dynamic link already does

A link page is a dynamic link with a page instead of a destination, so it inherits the rest of what dynamic links already do: password protection, scheduling and expiry, a maximum scan count, labels, and per-scan analytics on Pro. The one thing that doesn't carry over is smart routing, since routing exists to send different scanners to different destinations, and a link page already is the destination everyone lands on.

When to reach for this instead of a plain link

Anywhere a QR code needs to offer a choice rather than a single answer. A restaurant table code that leads to the menu, a reservation link, and a review page. A conference badge that leads to a speaker's talk slides, LinkedIn, and a contact card. A product's packaging code that leads to setup instructions, a warranty registration, and support. Any of these could be three separate codes, but one code that opens a page of choices is easier to print, easier to explain, and easier for a scanner to actually use.

Frequently asked questions

Is a link page free?

No, link pages are part of Reticle Pro ($12 a month or $99 a year). A Free account sees the option in the create menu but it opens the account page instead of a create form. A link page you already built keeps working if Pro lapses; you just can't create a new one or add buttons past 12 until you're back on Pro.

How many buttons can a link page have?

Up to 12. The title is required and capped at 80 characters, the optional tagline at 160, and each button label at 60.

Do I need a separate link-in-bio app or account?

No. The page lives on the same dynamic link your QR code already encodes, hosted by Reticle. There's no second account to create, no separate embed code, and no extra link to keep in sync with your bio.

Can I put my own domain and theme on the page?

Yes to the domain, if you have a custom domain attached to your Pro account, a new link page can use it. Theme has three choices, light, dark, or auto (follows the visitor's device setting), plus a single accent color for the buttons.

Does a link page work with scheduling, passwords, or scan analytics?

Scheduling, expiry, scan limits, password protection, and per-scan analytics all work on a link page exactly like they do on a regular dynamic link. The one thing that doesn't apply is smart routing, since a link page already is the destination, there's nothing to route to.

Can I edit the buttons after the code is printed?

Yes, that's the whole point of it being a dynamic link. Add, remove, reorder, or relabel buttons any time from My codes, and the change is live on the next scan. Nothing about the printed QR code changes.

Open My codes, start a new dynamic link, and choose Link page. Link pages are part of Reticle Pro.
